ABOUT THE ARCHIVE
Curiosity, with care.
Strange Happenings records unusual experiences without demanding a paranormal interpretation and without dismissing the person who reports one.
Four different things
- Witness account
- What a person says they experienced. We preserve their original wording where permission allows.
- Editorial review
- A check for clarity, chronology, privacy, consent and responsible presentation.
- Corroboration
- Independent material or accounts that support a specific detail. A link or upload is not automatically corroboration.
- Verified specific fact
- A narrow fact established from reliable evidence, such as a documented date. It does not verify an event’s unexplained cause.
AI assistance
Optional BaseLayer AI may help propose a neutral draft only when the reporter permitted it and a secure production integration is available. It never edits the immutable original, approves itself or publishes. A human editor remains responsible. Manual review is always available.
Corrections
Accepted corrections are appended with provenance and used in the current summary. Earlier wording remains visible where publication consent allows, so history is not silently rewritten.
